Membership in the Great Lakes Alpaca Association runs from January 31 of one year to January 31 of the following year. Annual membership dues for GLAA are $50 and are tax deductible. Membership dues are due by January 15 of each year.
Two recent actions by the Board of Directors may impact on your becoming a member of GLAA effective December 1, 2007. Please note that the two options cannot be combined.
First, for those joining on or after September 1, the membership fee for the remainder of the current year is reduced by half to $25. Register as indicated below for new members. This incentive is not retroactive.
Second, for any existing GLAA members who wish to sponsor a new member farm, a first year reduction of $10 in the annual membership fee of $50 is now in place. As an existing member registering a new farm, complete the registration process as indicated below for new members and send along with your $40 payment. Ensure that contact information for the new member is correct so that the user name and password can be sent directly to the new member. There is no limit on the number of new farms that an existing GLAA member may sponsor at the reduced rate; however, to sponsor a new farm, the existing farm's membership must be current. Please note that this incentive is for sponsoring new members and not for renewing existing memberships. This incentive is not retroactive.

New Members: Click the “Join GLAA” link on the menu on the left side of this page. Fill out the membership form and print it off. Send it along with your $50 payment to the Treasurer’s address below. Once your membership form and check are received by the Treasurer, you will be given login access to list your farm. You will receive an email indicating that you have been added as a GLAA-Member; it will contain your user name and password.
When you receive this email, come back to this site. Go to “Member Services” and login using your username and password. On the left hand menu, click on “Renew/Create”. Enter your farm information as you would like it to appear on the site and click on “SAVE”. Go to “Member Farms” and check to make sure your farm is now listed.
Renewing Members: If you are currently a member of GLAA, just send a check for $50, (payable to GLAA), to the Treasurer's address below. Your membership will continue without interruption. If your membership was interupted and you were removed, please follow the instructions for New Members to readd your information once you receive your logon and password from renewal.
